Rustic cabins can be a functional and enjoyable base camp for family outings, hunting, fishing or hiking. They provide more shelter than a tent during inclimate weather. The cabins are usually on quiet sites and many overlook water. They range in size, accommodating a single camper looking for an isolated getaway to groups as small as two to as large as 20 to 24.

Each cabin provides single-sized beds or bunks with mattresses, a table, chairs, brooms and a propane heater and/or fireplaces. Campers should bring bedding, cookware, lanterns, a first-aid kit, ax or handsaw, flashlights and insect repellent.
