The Centers are available from April-November and can accommodate 120 people. The dining hall has two large stone fireplaces. The adjoining kitchen is equipped with a gas range, refrigerator, walk-in cooler, cooking utensils and tableware. The buildings used for sleeping have single bunk beds with mattresses. The using group must provide their own bedding. There is a toilet building with flush toilets and hot water showers. All buildings are equipped with gas furnaces and electricity. Prioritiy is given to the following groups: outdoor related, youth based education/recreation, biolagical or earth science education and/or research, special populations, groups providing repairs, improvements and habitat restoration. APPLICATIONS RESERVATIONS Lodging: Fees are based on a per person nightly fee with a minimum rental fee required.. A deposit is required to hold the center for your group. DNR vehicle permits are not required on Center premisses. CHECK IN/CHECK OUT Checkout time is 2:00 P.M,checkin time is 3P.M.. An incoming group must not interfere with the activities of a group using the facility prior to checkout time. Exact check-in and checkout time is to be arranged between the user and the Center.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW GROUPS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANUP OF GROUNDS AND BUILDINGS. Outdoor Center permits may not be transferred, sublet, or used for profit-making enterprises undertaken in connection with the center without written approval. Personal or organization equipment shall not be left in centers except during permit dates without advance approval. In such instances, the permittee assumes complete responsibility. No electric appliances or other major equipment are allowed without prior written approval. Fires are permitted only in designated places. Arrange for fire wood purchase in advance. The permittee shall provide supervision of at least one adult for each 10 youth campers through 16 years of age. Facilities may be inspected at any time by Center personnel or by authorized representatives of other state departments. No visitors. Special visits for business purposes, center study, or special programs may be arranged in advance. Unregistered or unapproved persons may be turned away. The permittee must advise the park of accidents or damages when they happen. Groups using centers for more than 96 hours as a childrens camp must have a Michigan Department of Consume & Industry Affairs Camp license. CANCELLATION OF RESERVATIONS If notice of cancellation is received 60 days or more prior to arrival, you will receive a complete refund. If notice of cancellation is received less than 60 days prior to arrival, the deposit will be forfeited.
